Customer Reviews of Ninja Master Prep (QB900B)

We analysed customer reviews online to understand what buyers like about the product and what they do not:

The positives

The Ninja Master Prep (QB900B) priced at a low $40 is a great bargain looking at its brilliant features and masterful design. Some aspects that customers have been talking about are:

Blending power- This blender, like most Ninja blenders, has been able to crush ice in a matter of seconds. The users are awed by the high power of its blades which can slices through ice, pulverize it into flakes and make it ready for drinks very quickly. It does not make a mush like several other blenders.

Easy-to-clean feature- Customers have appreciated the fact that these pitchers are easy to clean. A particular user commented about the blade setup which gives space for you to clean the difficult areas of the pitcher with plenty of ease.

Most other pitches have very low blade assemblies, which makes food stick to the bottom and proves to be tough to clean.

Consistent blending- Users are impressed by the blending quality of the Ninja Master Prep. The final product is smooth and consistent, without chunky pieces of whole foods. The QB900B come with two types of blade assemblies- 4-blade and 6-blade.

They are designed in such a way that they can be mounted on a stem which cover the whole pitcher. This ensures that food in all parts of the container is well blended and consistent.

Eco-friendly product- Ninja Master Prep, like other Ninja blenders, is made of plastic that is free of bisphenol-A (BPA). The BPA-free nature pleases customers since they and their family are saved from the toxic effect of BPA poisoning.

The Ninja Master Prep is a great system to assist you in your cooking needs but it does have a few problems.

Noise- Customers have noted that the ninja Master Prep makes a lot of noise during food processing, especially when whole foods are blended. This may occur to the high power pulsing operation performed by the ninja blender on the food.

Foods processing concerns- As per user reviews, some whole foods like flaxseed cannot be pulverized by Ninja Master Prep.

Cleaning- Some users found that food was somehow stuck in the handle of the pitcher after processing. This was very difficult to clean and posed health problem. This was a unique concern, not mentioned for other Ninja blenders. Thereafter, the blender was returned to the company.

Sharp blades- User are really concerned about the sharpness of the blades, especially those who have kids around the house. Keeping the blades out in the open, even when they want to wash them is not safe since there is a chance that children might be around and get hurt.

Short lifetime- Some customers have reported that the blender has a very short useful life and breaks down easily. Some have observed that blades rust very quickly. Some blades have also become blunt very easily.

The Ninja Master Prep (QB900B) is a handy appliance to use for most of your cooking needs, especially for making smoothies, salsa and the like.

It is versatile and with a <$40 price tag is a steal. However, the 450 W variant available at $56 is not very different, except for its power rating, so purchasing the cheaper model is advised.

  1. I have a ninja master prep that was a gift from my grandma. It works really good processes my food and the blades are really sharp i love it. But some of the liquid from making milk shakes has gotten up in the plastic lid and there’s no way of getting it out and its starting to mold. It looks like the piece where its getting stuck is glued on or pressed on. Is there anything that can be done to fix this or get a new one. I really love using it.
